Video Shrink — Support
“This file is too large to send.” Video Shrink answers that by asking where the video is going, not by asking you to pick a percentage or bitrate you have no way to choose correctly.

- Choose a destination (a size target, e.g. Email, Chat, or a specific size)
- Export — Video Shrink measures the result and re-encodes automatically if it’s still too big, so it actually fits
FAQ
How does picking a “destination” work instead of a percentage?
You choose where the video is going rather than a compression number. Video Shrink works out the settings needed, compresses the video, then measures the actual output file size. If it still overshot the target, it re-encodes automatically — so the result really does fit.
Does compressing remove the audio?
No, audio is always kept.
Will a portrait video turn into landscape, or vice versa?
No, orientation is preserved.
What’s free, and what requires the one-time purchase?
The free version shrinks one video at a time. A single one-time purchase unlocks compressing videos in a batch. There is no subscription.
Is an internet connection required?
No. Compression happens entirely on-device. Nothing is uploaded, ever.
Do you collect any data about me or my videos?
No. Video Shrink has no analytics SDK and no account system.
If something isn’t working
Compression takes a long time, or my phone gets warm.
Long or high-resolution (4K) videos take real processing power to re-encode. This is expected, especially on older devices — let it finish in the foreground rather than backgrounding the app.
The exported file is still larger than I expected.
Video Shrink verifies the actual output size and re-encodes if needed, but extremely short or already-efficient videos have a practical floor — it can’t compress below what the content and destination combination allow.
The app won’t open, or it crashes immediately.
Force-quit and relaunch. If that doesn’t help, update iOS to the latest version, then contact us below.

Privacy
Video Shrink does not collect any user data. All processing happens on-device; nothing is ever uploaded to a server. No account is required, and there are no ads or analytics SDKs.

「ファイルサイズが大きすぎて送信できません」。Video Shrink は、圧縮率やビットレートではなく「どこに送りますか？」と聞くことで、この問題に答えます。
使い方
- 動画を選ぶ
- 送り先（サイズの目安。例：メール、チャット、指定サイズ）を選ぶ
- 書き出す。実際のサイズを測定し、まだ大きい場合は自動でやり直すので、本当に収まります
よくある質問
「送り先」を選ぶ仕組みとは？
数字ではなく、どこに送るかを選びます。Video Shrink が必要な設定を計算して圧縮し、実際に書き出されたサイズを測定します。目標を超えていた場合は自動で再エンコードするので、本当に収まる結果になります。
圧縮すると音声は消えますか？
消えません。音声は必ず保持されます。
縦動画が横になったりしますか？
なりません。向きはそのまま保持されます。
無料でできること・買い切りが必要なことは？
無料版は1本ずつ圧縮できます。買い切り1回で、一括圧縮ができるようになります。サブスクリプションではありません。
インターネット接続は必要ですか？
いいえ。圧縮はすべて端末内で完結します。外部へのアップロードは一切ありません。
データは収集されますか？
されません。分析SDKもアカウント機能もありません。
うまく動かないときは
圧縮に時間がかかる・端末が熱くなる
長い動画や4Kなど高解像度の動画は、処理に相応の時間がかかります。特に旧機種では顕著です。バックグラウンドに回さず、アプリを開いたまま待ってください。
書き出したファイルが思ったより大きい
実際のサイズを測定して足りなければ再エンコードしますが、動画の内容と送り先の組み合わせによっては、それ以上小さくできない限界があります。
アプリが起動しない・すぐ落ちる
一度完全に終了し、再起動してください。改善しない場合はiOSを最新版に更新のうえ、下記までご連絡ください。
